1. Taj Mahal

This is the most famous places to visit in India. Taj Mahal is an icon of India and a must-see tourist attraction when you visit the country. Taj Mahal is in Agra, India, and was built by Mughal Shah Jahan Emperor as a mausoleum for his beloved wife who passed away in childbirth, Arjumand Banu Begum or also called as Mumtaz Mahal which means Jewel of the Palace. The manufacturing of the building spent about 22 years and acknowledge as one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

2. Harmandir Sahib

Harmandir Sahib or usually called "The Golden Temple" is a temple located in the city of Amritsar, Punjab, India. Harmandir Sahib basically means "The Temple of Gods". Harmandir Sahib is a sacred place for the Sikh religion that was established in the 16th century. This temple is referred to as The Golden Temple for the outside layer is covered with gold. At night the temple always reflect a very beautiful golden shadow. The tourists must respect and maintain the sanctity of Harmandir Sahib by removing footwear, not smoking, and so on.

3. The Mehrangarh fort

The Fortress which is located at an altitude of 400 in Jodhpur area is now a museum with a castle, the courthouse, and a gallery. Fortress was built in 1459 by Rao Jodha when he changed his capital from Mandore to Jodhpur. The fort has seven large gates which described the signs of ancient battles.

4. Jaisalmer

Jaisalmer that is called as "The Golden City" is a city in Rajasthan. In this city, tourists can visit the ancient fortress site and taste a variety of culinary. The fort is the oldest fort in India. India is famous to have many beautiful and sacred Hindu temples. One of the most beautiful Hindu temples in India located in the city of Delhi, Akshardham. Akshardham is also known as Delhi Akshardham or Swaminarayan Akshardham, the symbol of culture, spirituality, and Hinduism as well as Indian architecture. Hindu temple in Delhi has a sophisticated design with a lot of reliefs, roof, and small pillars that become the part of the temple. In the past, it was said that this temple was founded by 10,000 people consists of 7,000 primary producers and 3,000 volunteers.

8. The Ranakpur Jain Temple

Ranakpur Jain temple became the 6th most-favorite destination in India because of its unique design. A sacred place for Jainism beliefs was made of brightly colored marble over an area of 60 x 62 meters. The lower part of the temple is sustained by around 1,444 poles were decorated with amazing carvings. None of the pillars have the same engraving. Another attraction of the Jain Temple in Ranakpur is the existences of sacred statues which is facing each other. Ranakpur is one of the famous places to visit in India.

9. Fort Agra

In the same city with Taj Mahal, there is other interesting tourist attractions named Agra Fort. The Fort location is only about 2.5 km to the northwest from Taj Mahal. Agra fort which surrounds an area of 380,000 square meters has 4 main gates. Delhi Gate is already known as the biggest gate facing directly into the city. Lahore Gate or Amar Singh Gate is the only entrance for tourists to get inside of the Agra Fort where there are palaces, mosques, pavilions, courts, balconies and various types of sculptures.

10. Complex Monuments Khajuraho

As the name implies, Khajuraho Monuments is a group of temples and sacred buildings in Khajuraho area, Madhya Pradesh, India. This area is believed to have a hinduism complex and biggest Jain in India. Almost the whole temples and buildings in the complex of Khajuraho monument were made of sandstone bonded with mortise and tenon. One thing that distinguishes the temples at Khajuraho with the other ones in India is the erotic theme of the temple.
